Knoxville , TN 37930 Since 1997, TVGRR volunteers have rescued and found homes for abused and abandoned golden retrievers in the Knoxville TN area. We also have active rescuers in the Chattanooga TN and Huntsville AL area. Goldens come to us from shelters and from owners who can no longer keep their goldens. These dogs often need medical attention. They are fully vetted before they go to their \"forever\" homes. Our goal is to find the best home for the dogs. We rely on donations from the public to operate, and we are all volunteers. Knoxville, TN 37921 Second Harvest Food Bank of East Tennessee works to eliminate hunger in our 18 county community by providing food and services to local non-profit organizations that serve the hungry. Organizations receiving food from Second Harvest include soup kitchens, church pantries, shelters, after-school programs, group homes, senior centers, rehabilitation centers, Food for Kids sites and others. In total Second Harvest supports 383 non-profits in East Tennessee with food and services. On average, the food bank serves roughly 145,000 hungry East Tennesseans every month.
